Well boys, its not been a great first half of the season but after two wins in a row, everything seems a whole lot better than it did. You can't beat that winning feeling (especially when the other team has been out warming up with cones and matching tracksuits since 9.30)!
Great win today over PTTR who are 3rd in the league with games in hand. Of course its nice to win, but I was really pleased again with the spirit, the encouragement towards each other and generally good sportsmanship towards our opponents.
Cov Saints for the cup? Can't see any reason why not. There isn't anyone we've played that we wouldn't have a really good chance of beating if we play like we did today.
Think it would be really hard to single anyone out today - everyone really did a great job (and I definitely won't be mentioning that I'm outscoring the boss now this season!)
What do you reckon? What made the difference today?
Roll on the Quarter Finals.

Now we're starting
2 games under our belts now and we are well and truly under way. I'm sure we all felt after the 1-0 defeat to Myton first up that we never really got going, so it was fantastic to get a win last Saturday against Binley.
What a classic that game was! I'm really proud of the way that we dug in when we had to, played some really good football at times, and you just gotta love a last minute winner!! Nice one Tommy.
After 20 minutes it looked like we might get soundly beaten. With Binley pressing and Chris D & Rich H both feeling ill, it looked stacked against us, but with some disciplined defending, a bit of composure on the ball and tireless running up front, we turned it around.
Special mention to Chris D for an amazing save at 2-1, to Millsy for a great first outing at Centre Back, Youngy for a rampaging second half on the left, Kev for first Cov Saints goal, and Wilko for a man-of-the-match performance (awarded by Binley manager)up front - we won't mention 'that miss'!
Well done boys; let's keep enjoying the football - bring on the Lowfors!

Big Kick-Off Saturday
3 days till the new season kicks off with our longest away trip of the season to Sporting Myton. Can't wait to get going again. There were certainly some eyebrow-raising results in the first round of fixtures last week so I'm expecting it to be a very different kind of season this time around.
Obviously we'd all love to go one better than last year and win the league, but with so many changes across the different teams, its all a bit of an unknown. One things for sure - we've got a really good chance and we've got the personnel to enjoy playing some really good football. Of this I am 100% sure: the more we set out to stick together, enjoy our football and keep a really positive attitude, the better our results will be.
Here's to a great 2009/10 season. Let the games begin!
